Reflections

An invitation to worship through scripture and the music of David & Linda McKechnie

This album is a response to the Psalmist’s suggestion, “Be still and know that I am God.” The spoken Word and music are complementary. This is an opportunity to reflect on God’s promises from scripture and to listen to the melodies of the great hymns of the Church. Find a quiet place and allow God’s grace, comfort, love, hope, and peace to wash over you.

  1. Grace: Grace Greater Than Our Sins/Amazing Grace
  2. Comfort: His Eye Is On the Sparrow
  3. Love: I Love Thee/Love Again
  4. Christian Life: Take My Life and Let it Be
  5. Jesus Christ: He Was Despised (The Messiah)/The Old Rugged Cross
  6. Shepherd: The King of Love My Shepherd Is/Savior Like a Shepherd
  7. Prayer: Sweet Hour of Prayer/My Faith Looks Up to Thee
  8. Peace: Jesus, I Am Resting, Resting/Thou Wilt Keep Him in Perfect Peace
  9. Praise: Joyful, Joyful/Doxology/To God Be the Glory
  10. Hope: He Leadeth Me
  11. Benediction: Written by David & Linda McKechnie as sung by the Don Marsh Singers

A Word from Linda

I sincerely hope that as you progress through this website, I may reflect a strong witness to my Christian faith and be an encouragement to you through my recordings on CD, or through the keyboard music and orchestrations that are now available from these recordings for you to perform.

About Linda

Linda grew up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, in a very musical family and started playing the piano at the age of four. As a 2nd grader, Linda remembers accompanying her 2nd grade class for their Christmas program. Unusual as it might seem, she loved to practice, play by ear, compose her own melodies, and had a real passion to express her young Christian faith through the hymns and choruses of the church.
